Susan M. Liberski, M.D.

SusanSusan M. Liberski, M. D. is a native of Pennsylvania. She is magna cum laude graduate of Wilkes College and completed her medical education at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Her internship and residency in Internal Medicine were performed at the Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, a major teaching affiliate of the Thomas Jefferson Medical College. She pursued fellowship training in the field of Gastroenterology at the Pennsylvania State University/ Hershey Medical Center. Prior to moving to Naples, she served as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at that institution. There, in addition to her patient care activities, Dr. Liberski lectured medical students and residents on gastrointestinal diseases and has been involved in patient education seminars. Dr. Liberski is an active staff member of Naples Community and North Collier Hospitals. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and has passed the subspecialty Board in Gastroenterology. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Women's Association, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Liberski has been involved in several research projects including the treatment of chronic hepatitis. She has published several articles on the treatment of unusual cause of intestinal bleeding and chronic nausea. She is co-author of a chapter "The Medical Acute Abdomen" for a medical textbook, Current Practice of Medicine. Dr. Liberski has also traveled to Africa where she provided patient care and taught at a mission hospital in Kenya.
