Neil W. Randall, M.D. , was raised in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. He received his Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1978, where he was an Echols Scholar. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, where the governor appointed him as a student member of the university's Board of Regents. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Ochsner Clinic, New Orleans, and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Tufts University, Boston Dr. Randall has practiced at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Fort Lauderdale, and most recently at the Geisinger Clinic, Danville, Pennsylvania. He was the director of gastrointestinal endoscopy at Geisinger, teaching new gastroenterologists, until he came to practice in Naples in 2001. Dr. Randall is triple-boarded in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, and Geriatrics. He has achieved fellowship in both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Randall has been chosen by his peers to serve on numerous national committees for these organizations and others, including the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Randall has a particular interest in colon cancer screening. He has written a chapter in a textbook on ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Dr. Randall has extensive experience performing ERCP, a technically challenging procedure which evaluates the bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreas. He is the first gastroenterologist at Naples Community Hospital with experience in endoscopic ultrasound, a promising new technique. He is a member of the staff of both Naples Community Hospital and North Collier Hospital.
