Dr. Jara was born and raised in Queens, NY. She lived in Quito, Ecuador as a teenager and is fluent in Spanish. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BS in Molecular & Microbiology. She graduated from medical school in Gainesville at the University of Florida and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Her interest in liver diseases led her to pursue a fellowship in Hepatology at the University of Miami Center for Liver Disease. She then completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Dr. Jara has been practicing in Orlando and is relocating to Naples to be close to family and to join Gastroenterology Group of Naples. She is skilled in endoscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel capsule and is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients. She has two young boys and a wonderful husband. She has an identical twin who is an Interventional Cardiologist and an older sister who is a family practitioner.

Dr. Jara is Board Certified in gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association, and Florida Gastroenterology Society.
